It is an honor to receive the Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award as the 2023 Outstanding Business/Organization, presented by Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands. We are fortunate to live and work on Cape Cod and feel strongly about the importance of helping to support our special community.

PSD has worked with WE CAN to design and build out a renovated space at 127 Airport Road in Hyannis! WE CAN is an exceptional organization that serves women in need of help transitioning difficult life situations. This second location will broaden access to their services for Cape women.

In the Spring/Summer 2023 issue of Chatham Living by the Sea, this renovated and expanded historic property, plus a new guest house, form a unique compound that is featured within the magazine. The two structures have a similar character from the back.

PSD transform their award-winning, iconic project “Riptide” for a new chapter with new homeowners. The project recently received a GOLD BRICC Award in the Renovation category.

Riptide and Eagle’s Nest, recent PSD projects awarded GOLD BRICC Awards at the 2021 HBRACC gala. The BRICC Awards are held biennially by the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC) to recognize outstanding architects, builders, remodelers, designers, and other housing-related professionals.

Moon Shadow and Harbor View Guest House, both renovation projects by PSD awarded PRISM Awards at the 2021 BRAGB hybrid gala.

Perched on the top of a high bluff, this house overlooks Cape Cod Bay and its dramatic expanse of tidal flats. The site’s close proximity to a steep coastal bank, and tight setback restrictions, presented challenges when designing and building a new home for the property.

The PSD team was proud to be a part of the Housing Assistance Corporation of Cape Cod’s 10th annual Big Fix, which occurred in Barnstable this year. The event provides assistance to veterans, seniors, and disabled homeowners with clean-up, landscaping and small home repairs.

The PRISM Awards is a regional competition for design and construction, and recognizes the accomplishments of professionals who influence the present and shape the future of their art, craft, and business.

The annual list released by Ocean Home Magazine is out, and PSD is highlighted as one of the residential architects that the magazine considers among the most innovative, influential and prolific.

On Saturday, September 30th from 3:30-4:30pm at the West Tisbury Library, architect and author, John R. DaSilva and poet, GennaRose Nethercott discussed both PSD’s new book, Living Where Land Meets Sea: The Houses of Polhemus Savery DaSilva, and the links between architecture and poetry. They talked about their collaboration, showed images of the architecture, and read poems that have resulted from it.

Chosen by Cape Cod Magazine readers, PSD is given the “Best Architect” and the “Best Builder” distinctions in this year's survey.

The Harvard Club of Boston presents a discussion with and presentation by Peter Polhemus on the Rewards and Challenges of Designing and Building “Where Land Meets Sea.”

PSD’s John DaSilva, Design Principal, and Rob Calderaro, Senior Landscape Architect, participated in a panel presentation on June 3rd. The discussion focused on designing your coastal home.

The firm has have been awarded with two 2017 Chatham Preservation Awards for their work on Historic Hamblin House and The Bluffs. The two recognitions were given out on Sunday, May 21st during the annual awards reception at the Chatham Wayside Inn.

As the architect, builder, and interior designer for the 2016 Design Home, PSD is honored to be part of the team and project, which raised over $80,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital.
