This award, named for the late Jimmy Marceline, known as Harwich’s “Town Father” for his unwavering commitment to others, honors a local business for their outstanding support of the community’s not-for-profit organizations by volunteering, donating in-kind goods and services, and instituting a corporate policy that stipulates and encourages community involvement. PSD was specifically cited for their participation this year at the “Big Fix,” an annual event that supports the impactful work of the Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC), and their involvement with the Harwich Elementary School Certified Schoolyard Habitat project. The award ceremony took place on Thursday, June 20th at the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club.
“It is a great honor for our team to be recognized by the Chamber,” states Aaron Polhemus. “We feel very fortunate to live and work in this wonderful community and feel strongly about the importance of giving back.
