WE CAN (Women’s Empowerment through Cape Area Networking) works with women of all ages to successfully navigate challenging life transitions such as career change, job loss, illness, divorce or retirement. In 2016, the organization responded to over 2,600 Cape women with information and referral services, mentoring programs, legal, financial and work support consultations and personal development programs that foster independence and empower women to achieve lasting positive change for themselves, their families and ultimately for the entire Cape Cod community.

“I am pleased to be part of an organization that does so much to support women and their families,” states Aaron Polhemus. “As a longtime Cape resident, it is important to me to work with organizations, like WE CAN that have such a positive impact on so many lives.”

In addition to being appointed to the board of WE CAN, Aaron is also active in Polhemus Savery DaSilva Architects Builders’ PSD Fund for Working Families. Established in 2010, the fund partners with organizations that assist families and individuals who face challenges living and working on Cape Cod. Polhemus continues, “Our firm is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work.”
