John R. DaSilva, AIA
As Design Principal, John DaSilva is responsible for directing the architectural staff and setting the aesthetic direction for the firm’s work. With a focus on creating designs that are specifically crafted for each client, John draws on extensive knowledge of both architectural history and intelligent detailing.
Raised in Danbury, Connecticut, John studied architecture at Princeton University where he received an A.B. Architecture, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and at Yale University School of Architecture, where he received a Master of Architecture and was awarded the Carrol L.V. Meeks Memorial Scholarship for outstanding academic performance. John has worked at several distinguished architectural firms including Venturi, Rauch & Scott Brown, and Cesar Pelli & Associates. John’s writings about architecture have been widely published locally, nationally, and internationally. In 2016, DaSilva was inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame, recognizing him as one of a select group of residential design leaders in New England.
