Sited on the edge of Chatham’s Village Green – a much-used and beloved open space in the heart of Chatham – this public facility forms an architectural edge and visual backdrop to the park. One of only two structures on the large, open site, the Gould Park Public Facility employs reinterpreted Greek and Gothic Revival elements and details befitting the quiet dignity of its surroundings. While the building is small, the image it projects is distinctly civic.

The park is the site of vibrant summertime activity including band concerts, picnics and town festivals. As a gift to our community, Polhemus Savery DaSilva designed and performed general contracting services on this project pro bono.
