Project Architect

Since its establishment in 1996, Polhemus Savery DaSilva, Architects/Builders (PSDAB) has grown into a firm employing approximately 50 people. PSDAB (www.psdab.com) is a design/build firm specializing in high-end residential design and construction on Cape Cod, MA, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. We also offer design/build services for commercial and institutional clients. We offer competitive salary including health and dental benefits and retirement savings plan.

PSDAB is seeking a dedicated, hard-working professional with 3-5 years experience to join our team as a Project Architect. The successful candidate will have a solid background in design, construction documents, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques and costs. This person will be responsible for developing project design and providing direction to architectural support staff within the office.

The Project Architect will coordinate the work of project consultants, interface with regulatory agencies, as required, and work directly with clients to achieve project completion. In addition, the Project Architect must be able to research both standard and innovative solutions to design issues, confirm code compliance, and make recommendations to the Principals. This person will be responsible to maintain the progress of the project schedule. The Project Architect will work closely with the Design Principal on all design issues. Registration is preferred but not required.

Excellent interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task, possess proven problem solving skills, team player with excellent communication skills, interact with all levels of management, work well under pressure often under critical deadlines, reliable and dependable.

Salary is based on experience and abilities.
